Meet Your Therapist
Margaret Hughes
A long time ago I learned that my main purpose in life is to embrace people’s experiences with curiosity and listen intently to the words that flow. I love this! It helps me help my clients to tap into thoughts and feelings that sometimes have us spinning our wheels. That is why I started Margaret Hughes Therapy.

My Approach
Guiding You to Your Next Best Steps
My clients tell rich & informative stories.
Telling stories about life’s struggles can provide peace, relief from angst, and clues for your next steps. Our stories can be jagged, meandering, beautiful, complex, and whatever descriptive word (or expletive) you insert here. I love and appreciate the whole human experience. As your therapist, I am here to help you find your stories, your next steps, and your values.
I am here to guide you.
As a licensed clinical social worker I feel honored to be able to combine behavioral science with social justice. This means that I offer expert assessment and guidance about emotional and mental well-being. And, I’m also equipped to understand a wide array of human experiences and offer support from a place of love and compassion.

My Life
Margaret Hughes
Born and raised in Minnesota, but I’ve been in the southwest region of the United States for a few decades! I reached some of my biggest educational and life milestones while working in Greece and Japan.
Hoping to explore more places on this earth. I’m a mom of two humans, two rescued dogs, and 2 rescued cats. Being outside, listening to reggae music, being near water, and growing orchids are things I love to do.
